In July through mid-August, we decided to do something we rarely do, take a break from producing and posting our content to rest. More reflections to come on rest shortly. But we return from our rest just as Mary goes to join the Father in her Eternal Rest. Today we celebrate the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Happy Assumption! As we do, we have turned to some of our favorite souls that have joined her in Heaven, sharing the best saint quotes on Mary.
The Best Saint Quotes on Mary
We never give more honour to Jesus than when we honour his Mother, and we honour her simply and solely to honour him all the more perfectly. We go to her only as a way leading to the goal we seek — Jesus, her Son.
St Louis de Montfort
Love Mary! She is loveable, faithful, constant. She will never let herself be outdone in love, but will ever remain supreme.”
St. Alphonsus Liguori
I do not tremble when I see my weakness, for the treasures of a mother belong also to her child, and I am thy child, O dear Mother Mary.”
St. Therese of Lisieux
The Immaculate will conquer, through us, the whole world and every single soul.”
St. Maximilian Kolbe, Let Yourself Be Led by the Immaculate
O my Mother, it is to your heart that I come to lay down the anguish of my heart; it is there that I draw strength and courage.
St Bernadette Soubirous
Let us bind ourselves tightly to the Sorrowful Heart of our Heavenly Mother and reflect on its boundless grief and how precious is our soul.”
Padre Pio
Let us live as the Blessed Virgin lived: loving God only, desiring God only, trying to please God only in all that we do.”
St John Vianney
“Remember that it has never been heard of in any age, that any sinner who turned to you was rejected by you. I am a miserable sinner, but I turn to you and trust in you.”
St. Bernard of Clairveaux
“From Mary we learn to surrender to God’s Will in all things. From Mary we learn to trust even when all hope seems gone. From Mary we learn to love Christ her Son and the Son of God!”
St. John Paul II
Men do not fear a powerful hostile army as the powers of hell fear the name and protection of Mary.
St. Bonaventure
