This Our Lady of Guadalupe print was created by founder Lisa Martinez with an art technique called stippling. An extremely time-intensive process, in stippling art, the image is created strictly through the application of small dots with a fine ink black pen. This is a high-quality print on heavy stock. Original design by Lisa as a tribute to her Father-in-law who passed in 2020, all done, little with great love–as this art was done on-and-off during the course of two years.
This artwork was recognized by Lisa’s favorite contemporary Jazz musician, Harry Connick Jr. Watch “Hunker Down With Harry: Episode 7” on YouTube, and Our Lady’s shoutout starts at the 4:17 mark. That was a heart-lightening live show on social media nightly during the lockdown in 2020 (when Lisa first started this piece), and Harry asked for viewer submissions of what people were doing to get through that time.
