At the end of each year, the Little With Great Love leaders plan out the ministry’s vision in each of our areas. I am so honored to continue being the Content/Social Media leader for Little With Great Love, and being able to review, discern, and pray about what the vision is for my area of leadership.
This year, more than any other, the Lord spoke to me through scripture. The parable of “The Vine and the Branches” (John 15:1-17). As I read through this passage, each line translated to an area I see our content/social media vision heading. Below I share my outline of this year’s vision tied to its verse.
“He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit”John 15:2
We are looking to be more intentional this year, not just throwing out content for the sake of it Pruning ourselves and the ministry, and being more intentional with our content and socials.
“No branch can bear fruit by itself”John 15:4
First person plural, we & us.
Aiming to continue showing who we are in relation to you all who follow us. We want you to know our journey is the same as yours, in the sense of understanding hardship, stress, healing, love, compassion, despair, hope, and our communal struggle of living a Christian life.
“Remain in me, as I also remain in you”John 15:4
Remaining in the Lord, The Gardener
As the first line mentions, “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener.” (Jn 15:1). We shall continue placing the Lord in the center of our content, remaining in Him. Will continue allowing Him to root us in our work and showing this through our content.
“Love each other as I have loved you.”John 15:9
Keeping in community with you all is our goal, sharing the love with others. We also wish to continue having community by promoting and showcasing other wonderful ministries doing good works.
“You did not choose me, but I chose you, and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit”John 15:16
Unafraid of bearing fruit
The Lord has brought this team together, chosen to bear its fruit. We hope to look inwardly this year, and not be afraid to share ourselves with you all. Each of us—you too, sister!—are chosen by the Lord to walk our given paths. We want to remind ourselves, and you all, we are called to bear fruit in our lives through this year’s content.
I invite you all to read this scripture passage and see how you can plan a vision in your own lives, with this scripture or another. Or you can even pray about choosing a Word for the Year, which you can live towards. We hope you continue journeying with us sister, have a blessed new year!
