How often are we blind to God’s love by our worr

How often are we blind to God’s love by our worries and ambitions? It’s no surprise that in the busyness of life, we can sometimes miss what is in front of our own eyes.

Today’s Gospel reminds us that Jesus helps us see what we need to when we need to. If we’re wondering how we can grow into better disciples, when we should ask for forgiveness, and what path to take, let’s ask God to open our eyes as He did the man born blind. Let’s ask Him to cure our blindness of what we don’t understand by teaching us what is pleasing to Him and giving us light as St. Paul says in today’s second reading.

Our physical wellness is important. Here are a few of our teammate's tips and reflections about their physical health journey.

“For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink. Whatever you did for the one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.” (Mt 25:35,40)

Almsgiving is important always, but especially during Lent as one of the season’s three pillars. We’ve heard in the last few Sunday Gospels how even Our Lord hungered and thirsted, and Matthew 25 verses 35-40 reminds us that we encounter God when we love those in need.

So let’s make an effort this Lent to give more of our resources or time to worthy causes that help our brothers and sisters in need, or even those closest to us who could use an extra hand.

What or who do our hearts thirst for most? Things

What or who do our hearts thirst for most? Things of this world or God Himself? When Jesus asks us to give Him a drink—to give Him our hearts, how do we answer?

We were made to love and to seek union with Our Creator Who Himself thirsts for us! If we cannot yet give God our love as we wish, if we’re still tied down by worldly desires or worries, we can ask Him for the graces to love Him more fully. Because Jesus is the fountain of living water who satisfies our thirst for love, peace, joy, hope, and all good things perfectly.

So let’s give Our Lord a drink this Lent with our hearts which He so thirsts for.
