Today’s Gospel reminds us not to compare ourselv

Today’s Gospel reminds us not to compare ourselves to others. Comparing can lead to jealousy and distrust. Let’s instead put our trust in Our Heavenly Father, that He provides for all His beloved children as He promises.

Remember the Lord and His grand generosity from this Gospel. Let’s be thankful for all times we can call on our God who is “gracious and merciful, good to all, and compassionate toward all his works” as we hear in today’s Responsorial Psalm.

Let’s also strive to imitate Him and give more when we can. The more we give from our hearts, the less we notice what we don’t have, and the more we ultimately receive.
